The only self green ever bred - very frustrating, as another might have allowed the line to be continued. Here an eminent judge, and former President of the UK National Cavy Club, closely examines this remarkable exhibit at a leading show in the North of England. He looks very puzzled, not only amazed by it's remarkable colour, but also astonished at it's size. |
| Visitors to Canny Cavies will be aware that Her Majesty the Queen has recently launched her own website, (http://www.royal.gov.uk) and so we assume that our sovereign felt that she must get 'with it' and surf the net. After a recent visit to the Canny Cavies website, a Royal wish was expressed to see the unique green cavy. It is well known that the Queen has a lively interest in animals, from horses to racing pigeons, and it may be that cavies will be added to the Royal collection. Here we see the Queen, looking slightly uncomfortable, makes the acquaintance of this remarkable phenomenon. | ![]() |
